I want to say thanks to everyone on this forum and keeping it alive. I know I don't come here often enough but I just quit my busy job and I'm making time for old cars again. If anyone know hows to promote this forum I'm all ears. We need it to grow. I want to keep it free and as free from ads as I can but if someone knows how we can advertise this, then let me know.

Has anybody seen my car?
Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:00 pm by Palle
Hi, I am restoring a -59 Bonneville convertible, a car that has been imported to Sweden from California in -87 or -88. I spoke to the dealer who imported it, and he said he found the car behind a gas station in Santa Rosa, Calif. It was not running, damaged left quarter and between the rear lights, been sitting for a while. The colour is White with sunset glow interior, a common combination I …

Where is evryone?
Sat Feb 06, 2016 1:26 am by PontiaCat59
This is a valuable website (resource) for 59 Pontiac owners yet the last posting was made December 25th 2015.  Come on people, don't let this die on the vine!  Surely many of you have questions or have projects in progress.  Share, share, share!  So as to not be labeled a hypocrite, here is my latest tip:  Make sure there are no tools or parts on top of the air cleaner when the car is up on a …

Finally getting the Silver Bullet rewired!
Sun Sep 06, 2015 10:45 am by starchief_59
After talking about rewiring my Pontiac for years now, it's finally going to happen. I figured it would actually get done if I hired someone else to do. I'll let yall know in a few weeks how it turns out.

After that, I'm going to pull the motor and repaint it and install the freeze plugs that popped out when it froze, detail the engine bay and then I'm going to go through the brakes and see why …

Temporary engine swap - will it fit ?
Sat Sep 26, 2015 10:09 am by 59vista
It has been a bad year for my Pontiac - first the front took a hit, and just after the repair was completed (repaint only temporary, waiting for new bumper, but looking OK) the engine blew up.
The story is that the original engine gave up 4 years ago, and i completly rebuilded it. I had the block proffesionally bored 020, and the cranck was cut to 010 under.
Unfortunatly the machine shop (that is …

I found and bought a 1959 Pontiac Catalina stored in heated warehouse for the last 35 years, I washed and had it buffed and cleaned the interior (wiped down) still has plastic seat covers like sears installed back then. All sales info bill of sale, warranty book and paper sleeve it came in, manual and a couple boxes of glass fuses in the glove box. As far as I can tell this car is 100% original. …
