Wed Nov 12, 2014 6:15 pm by PontiaCat59
A Teal and Turquoise Station-wagon was featured at SEMA.  I hope my attempt of posting a picture will be successful, if not just "google" it or clink link below.

Found a car to buy
Tue Nov 24, 2009 10:54 pm by marks73turboTA
Well guys. I found this for my gasser build. I wanted to do the '59 or '60 Catalina but this popped up and for the money it really fits the build. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvoeeq-BH4w This is really solid and the owner really wanted to get it out of his yard so he offered it to me for $1600, I couldn't pass it up. I just wanted to thank you all for welcoming me into the fold …

Has anybody seen my car?
Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:00 pm by Palle
Hi, I am restoring a -59 Bonneville convertible, a car that has been imported to Sweden from California in -87 or -88. I spoke to the dealer who imported it, and he said he found the car behind a gas station in Santa Rosa, Calif. It was not running, damaged left quarter and between the rear lights, been sitting for a while. The colour is White with sunset glow interior, a common combination I …

Movie Set
Mon Jan 26, 2015 12:46 am by PontiaCat59
Recently I was an "extra" in a movie that was set in the sixties.  Well, actually they wanted my 59 so I guess I was an extra to an extra (my 59).  It was used in a parking lot scene as a backdrop to the main actors along with a scene where I dropped off my "movie daughter" in front of the high school.  It was a very interesting experience.  The movie is titled "Coming …

Single 4 barrel thermostat housing
Tue Dec 09, 2014 12:52 am by starchief_59
My car has not ran more than a minute or so at a time in years now. I had an offy dual quad on it and my dumb ass didn't put enough anti freeze in it and somehow (south texas) it froze and cracked my intake. So, After months and months I found a single 4 intake that I put on it but I never could find a thermostat housing for it. Are the 4 barrel thermostat housings specific to 4 barrels or will …

Tue Sep 09, 2014 11:08 am by dupageauto
I found and bought a 1959 Pontiac Catalina stored in heated warehouse for the last 35 years, I washed and had it buffed and cleaned the interior (wiped down) still has plastic seat covers like sears installed back then. All sales info bill of sale, warranty book and paper sleeve it came in, manual and a couple boxes of glass fuses in the glove box. As far as I can tell this car is 100% original. …
