Tue Sep 09, 2014 10:08 am by dupageauto
I found and bought a 1959 Pontiac Catalina stored in heated warehouse for the last 35 years, I washed and had it buffed and cleaned the interior (wiped down) still has plastic seat covers like sears installed back then. All sales info bill of sale, warranty book and paper sleeve it came in, manual and a couple boxes of glass fuses in the glove box. As far as I can tell this car is 100% original. …

Fri Sep 05, 2014 1:40 pm by Old Goat
Guys and gals,
I'm new to this forum and although I don't own a '59, my dad was the parts manager and shop manager for a Pontiac dealership in NW Montana.  Growing up, I was exposed to many Pontiac models and options, such a 3 2bbls on a straight 8.  Dad bought new a '59 Catalina 4-door hardtop (champagne metallic with white top) that we had for many years, including the time I spent abusing it …

Fuel Gauge Wiring Questions
Mon Jul 07, 2014 7:52 pm by chuckwp
Doing a complete rewire on a 59 Catalina. Using an EZ wire harness, the origional was bad, bad, bad.
I have 2 questions regarding the fuel gauge.
1) Which terminal is for hot and which is for the sender?
2) Is it supposed to have full battery voltage or, is it supposed to less than 12 volts?

I have a 59 tripower setup with air cleaner that has a tee fitting on the left side that appears to be factory. It is connected to the filtered side and is about 1/4" in dia. Could this be for an air suspension car?

Hi! New guy looking for info
Tue Apr 01, 2014 11:04 am by jim_cleveland
Hi, I stumbled upon this site while web searching for parts for my '59 Catalina 2-door sedan.
I read in some of the earlier posts that the fuel tank sending unit from a '62 Pontiac will fit my
'59.  I can't find a '59 sending unit but there are '62 units available from several sources.  I just
wanted to confirm that this will work.  If not does anyone know a source for a '59 sending …
