Here is the recent work. The rails are welded to the floor because I want to finish other pieces before welding. Still a lot of work to do, but it's a real pleasure to work on this car. My job takes a lot of time. For this reason the reconstruction lasts over time.

I use and discover techniques that were unknown to me until now.
I am not always sure of using the right method. But the result is correct and solid.

A real bodybuilder would work faster. While me, I use my tools only on weekends.

Thank you, I would also like to have more time. But it's impossible with my job, the family ...!

I only own the Italian (Ghia 1500 GT) and the (Pontiac 59). The other cars are to friends and my brother (Camaro RS 67)

We have owned it for 30 years and more for some. Today it would be impossible to have them. Because the vintage market is completely crazy.

It has been a long time since I gave you information on the reconstruction of the Bonneville.
My explanations are not very clear, I communicate this to you by photos.
I first worked on the trunk lid. Which was rusty and twisted.
Then I replaced a big piece of the left rear wing. Thanks to the effort of Vince forum member. Who provided me this part.
Then I repaired the back skirt and the floor.
Following I also rebuilt and modified, the two reinforcements found in the trunk.
Once all this finished, the crate was rested on the spit. To be able to replace the wing cheek and the last piece of floor. Then repair the bottom of the left rear fender.
When it was finished, I put the rails.
Now I rebuild the rear crossmember.























































































Thanks Vince (Finfan) the transplant is good. Without your help it would have been very difficult to repair this wing. The result is really good.

OK you have my attention (again).  In regards to the "factory defaults" pertaining to the doors, please elaborate a bit more.  I have been "restoring" my 59 that was initially actually in pretty good condition, piece by piece (no body off) for many years.  What exactly should I be looking for? Do you think it is normal rust/deterioration, etc. or something else? No problems readably visible on mine but ready to dis assemble my doors if needed.

Look at these two places, on my car the right weld was broken (on the two doors).
And on the left on the driver's door, the soldering has been forgotten.
