| I know this may be an odd part to die, but my speedometer is the only part keeping the safari from a completed inspection. I tore it all apart and was surprised to see it hand-dated from a repair that happened in the 70's. Whats happening is the cylinder the magnet moves gets hung up at many different points-the needle is broken as well. It seems this part has been monkeyed around with before, much like I'm doing now.
There is an nos unit on ebay for $350-is that a little high? (its "police calibrated", whatever that means)
So, any of you happen to have one kicking around? | |
