My Grandpas 1959 Safari Empty
PostSubject: My Grandpas 1959 Safari   My Grandpas 1959 Safari EmptyFri Oct 09, 2009 1:58 am

Last Thanksgiving my cousins took some of my aunt's old photos and made her a scrap book. As I was looking through the scrap book I noticed a green '59 Safari wagon in the back ground of a few pics. I remembered my dad always talked about his dad's old station wagon. I asked him about the car in the pics and he said "That's it!" How could he not know it was a '59 Pontiac? There's been a '59 Pontiac in his garage for almost 4 years now!

ANYWAY, He found a better picture of it.

My grandpa on the left, my great grandpa in the middle and my dad says that's his younger brother (my uncle) Ron. Note the date, 1969

I'm assuming this is Galveston Bay, Texas. I know my dad had family out there. If it's not Galveston it's got to be Port Aransas.

Na that sand isn't going to hurt anything. They live in San Antonio where it doesn't snow and doesn't rain too much so I wouldn't be surprised if the car was still around somewhere.

If I washed the underside of my Pontiac I could probably shed 15lbs. It's so caked in dirt, but there's hardly any rust on the car.
