Here's some pics from Back to the 50s here in MN this last weekend. There were a few '59 Ponchos with some nice restos...
Mine was the ONLY '59 Star Chief we saw out there for the 3rd year in a row out of over 11,000 cars!!!

How about that beige interior with the indian head logo - that is COOL ..... Also the contiunental kit - almost to big - was this an original option ?.....

I've been wanting to do an Indian head in my seats for a long time. Not that much detail but more just the silouette that you normally see.
Yes, the Continental kit was an option. Could you imagine that on the back of a Star Chief or Bonneville? The car would be almost 20' long!!!

Actually, I'm pretty sure all continental kits were aftermarket at least for 59 GMs. I bet it's a pain in the ass to put gas in the tank hahah
