Where to find full factory replica floor pans Empty
PostSubject: Where to find full factory replica floor pans   Where to find full factory replica floor pans EmptyThu Oct 13, 2016 8:15 am

I bought the full floor pan for my Catalina and just noticed the same place now has the full rear seat floor pan (the part under the rear seat) and from what I can see it's an exact match.  Granted when you look at the parts online they say they are for the Chevy, but these should match up the Pontiacs too.  Even though I already fixed one half of the rear seat floor pan I'm tempted to buy this to make finishing the job easier and the underside will be like new too. I'm just worried about removing too much and losing structural integrity and the body shifting or flexing. So far it looks like everything has stayed in place.

Did I mention the nice part of these panels is that they are factory replica replacements?  In other words you drill out the origonal factory spot welds to remove your old panels and these panels fit right in their place.

When I replaced my floor pans I've learned that Chevy floors are the same and we can buy a whole floor for the 59/60.I went with 4 small pans as it was cheaper to ship. The floor under the rear seat I bought in a one piece panel. Now when you will install that pan it will not fit, won't go into place. So you will need to bent the edges left and right side up so you can slide it in place. After a few spot welds, you can hammer the bent edges back straight. That was the easiest way I got that pan in.I did leave the rest of the floor in place when I did that rear pan. Many make the mistake to cut out the rot all at once and not only make the car weaker, they don't really know what goes where exactly.
