PostSubject: 1959 front floor pans   1959 front floor pans EmptyThu Jun 23, 2011 7:18 pm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to buy front floor pans for my 1959 Bonneville. I would like the pans to look original to the car.
Thanks,
Robert

1959Ambulance.....Thank God for good old G.M. interchangability! There would never be a big enough demand for the reproduction parts manufactures to produce stampings for our cars. The saving grace for us, is that the floor pans for 1959 Chevrolets is exactly the same as Pontiacs. There are 6 pans available. Left and right front, left and right rear footwell, and left and right under rear seat. The fronts go from the rocker pinchweld to about an inch up the transmission tunnel, and from about the front of the seat tracks to about two inches up the dash board. Ames sells them, as does just about all the Chevy repo houses. I recommend that whenever possible, buy from a Pontiac supplier. Without them we would be worse off than we already are for parts......John

I know this is an old thread but in case anyone comes looking again...

Check these guys out. They list it as Chevy 59-60 but it is a direct match (as far as I can tell) for the 59-60 pontiacs and they've got the best pricing I've found. I have this now waiting to go in...

They also have the Toe Kick panel that finishes off the front floor up to the firewall. I can't confirm this matches the pontiac as I didn't buy one myself but it looks correct... mind you the picture is upside down! LOL

I also found the floor supprts/braces cheaper if you buy the Chevy counterparts. Again they're a direct match for the pontiacs. I bought mine from a place called Vintage Parts Club.
