Got an email to join this board. This is great. I am usually over at the PY online forums, but now I have a better place to go for the 59 community.
Here's the skinny. About 10 years ago I was going to a Land O Lakes GTO event. I was reading the classifieds on the way when I saw an ad for a 59 catalina. I called and went to look at it instead of going to the event. Drove it home.
It is an Oklahoma 3 owner car. White/Red interior 2 dr hardtop, 389 two barrel auto, air, brakes, steering, radio delete, back-up light delete. I have not had the time I wish I could put into it. I have cut a coil in the front added american racing rims and did a bunch of work to make it mechanically sound. I have a 95% done .060 over 455 and th400 to swap out but just have not got there yet. The 389 just turned 100K and is a bit tired. It smokes and leaks. When I put the engine I plan to add disc brakes to the front.
The car is very solid. The interior is near perfect.
