Instrument Cluster Turn Signal Bulb Replacement Empty
PostSubject: Instrument Cluster Turn Signal Bulb Replacement   Instrument Cluster Turn Signal Bulb Replacement EmptyWed Jun 22, 2016 10:15 pm

I am looking for tips on how to replace the tiny bulb for the right turn signal indicator in the instrument cluster.  While in a contorted position with my head as far under the dash as I can get it, I can barely see the back of the bulb and can't even begin to get my hand in there amongst all the wires.  The last time I replaced bulbs I had the entire dash and cluster completely out of the car, and I really do not want to do that again.  Am I missing something simple (I hope)?  Suggestions welcomed.

A pain in the butt for sure, especially the right side due to a bracket that limits your hand movement and of course all the wires. Just re-installed my instrument cluster and there's a way to look up in there with a flashlight, but your head would have to be squeezed up against the bottom of the dash board and your body placed in just the right position. Of course my front seat is still out, so with the seat in I'm assuming being less than 5 feet tall would be ideal in this situation. However I'm NOT, so work on your acrobatic skills.

Bjorn,
Your post is reminds me of an old saying here in that "misery loves company".  Hahaha  My seat is NOT out and my 6'2" frame is not the optimum frame to be upside down under the dash trying to change out cluster bulbs.  Other than finding an ambidextrous 10 year old with extra small hands I'm still open for suggestions! hahaha

There's always the option of removing the dash pad of course, and you'll have full access to all the goodies inside Wink

bjorn1230's suggestion is probably the best solution, but try removing the ashtray and bracket to see if you can reach it that way first......John
