One of the door light switches on my '59 2dht is not working and not repairable. If anyone in the group has an extra working switch I would appreciate a reply. The replacements from CPR and Ames will not work because they are not compatible with the original '59 wiring. (I think they are for the '57's)

There's a couple on eBay right now. Search "1959 pontiac" they're going for about $13.00.

Pfzilla: Thanks for your input. I had already seen those on Ebay but they are not the same as originals in my car. I think they are for earlier GM models, perhaps even those with rear doors. My parts book shows a specific P/N, 4709879, for "1957-60 All, front door". This switch has two prongs for connecting the two applicable wires. Those on Ebay do not exhibit this configuration.
