1959 Pontiac Catalina Sport Sedan

I just bought a 59 out of a junk yard. It is a one owner car, lady that owned it her dad owned the Pontiac dealership and she bought it brand new in October 1958 from his lot. Last time the car had been tagged is 1973, it has 88,000 miles on it and is all original and complete minus a few pieces of chrome. The floors need replaced and needs a complete overhaul but it has great history and is really wicked looking. I want to take it back all original, it was Dundee Green with a Cameo white top, 389 2 barrel/Hydra, with green and white interior. Made in Pontiac, Michigan.

Wow- I think that ones been sitting a long time! Looks pretty similar in shape to my 60 Chev I dragged out of Saskatchewan last year. I checked out IndianaPontiacs and a bunch of stuff on these cars and I believe in in more over my head than I thought. I didn't know nothing about this car til I bought it. It was a impulse buy cause it looked sweet. But after digging into it some it's more of a parts car I think. I would like to restore it but not in my budget right now with a baby on the way. I hate to part with it but I do what I have to. Thank you for the reply and the advice.

wow. Thats a shame. I wish you best of luck with restoring it! Im doing a pretty heavy resto on mine as well! If you decide to part it out, Id love to pick up several parts! Would be a total shame to lose the history of such a great vehicle though!
