| that would be great to see how many were made here in canada, ive been to a bunch of local shows already (not with mine, its not on the road yet) and i havent seen one 59. I am also on a website called canadian poncho and i think i might be the only one there with a 59.Was glad to find this site for sure. Mines a 4-door sedan hardtop that is radio delete and no power options (seats, etc.) and since its canadian it uses a chevy impala frame so i dont have the wide track I just have to put big fat tires on is all !! Once i can figure out how to put a pic on i will throw it up. | |

| I did not know that the Canadian Pontiacs were not widetracks. Don't they also come with Chevy motors?
1959 Pontiacs are not easy to find. Besides mine I've only seen 3 in a junkyard.

| At Back to the 50's this year I only saw 6 other '59 ponchos out of 11,712 cars. That's just over 0.05%!!!!! As far as the Chevy frame, the only bonus there is that you can buy pretty much every part for the frame. The poncho frame parts are pretty hard to come by sometimes. | |

| yeah it is nice haveing the chevy frame for easy access parts and the engine is a 283 chev with a 2 barrel for right now and i put headers on it and im just waiting to put the cutouts on and dual exhaust. You should check out canadianponcho.com with some of these guys rides and the difference with canadian and american pontiacs. I still cant post a pic yet but if i figure it out i will post pics. | |

| My dreamweaver isn't working right but I'm tryin to get the gallery working. You can post a picture by uploading it on to photobucket.com and then pasting the IMG link here on the forum.
You can also post picture but clicking on the HOST AN IMAGE icon (looks like a photo with a disk on top of it), browse to find the photo you want to use, and then right click on the "image" link and then "copy" and paste it into the thread. For some reason if you click the copy button next to the link it's not working for me. You have to right click and click on copy.
