| I know yall hate this but I think I have enough posts to try sell this thing on here. I don't really want to sell it, I love '62s but I need to finish my stroker motor and I'm pretty broke and I need the money. It's all original. The original 303 hp 389 4 barrel does run but smokes out the tail pipe and out the crankcase vent. I drove it around my ranch for about 5 minutes, it seems to run pretty strong but it needs a rebuild. The tranny seemed ok but I didn't go fast enough to feel it shift. The motor has a freshly rebuilt 1962 Carter AFB on it and a brand new fuel pump. I'll try to get a video of it running just for kicks The car has manual windows and seats, has power brakes, steering and AC. I think the AC is all there except for the compressor. The brakes need work as they do not work at all. The body is pretty straight but has some whiskey dents. The driver's side is nice, the passenger side needs some work. I have a spare fender for it which is not perfect but better than the one that is on it. It has some filler on the back 1/4 but doesn't appear to be too deep. The bumpers are in pretty good shape. The car still has the original paint on it. It has some small rust spots at the bottom of the passenger fender, and around the wheel wells. Nothing too major but does need to be replaced. All glass is nice except the windshield, all windows roll down, all doors shut nicely. The tires are in pretty good shape but I have no idea how old they are. They hold air nicely and appear to be fairly new or at least not many miles on them. They're not dry rotted but I don't know if I would go down the highway in them. The interior (except the console) is all there and pretty nice. It has the saddle colored interior. The passenger bucket and back seat are damn near perfect. The driver's has some small tears. The carpet is gone to expose the rust free floor pans. The door panels are in the trunk and are in pretty good shape. The steering wheel has the usual cracks and missing chunks. The dash is ok but has cracks in the pad. The radio works. The dog dish caps go with the car along with the fullsize wheel covers. I'll also throw in a spare slim jim which is in good working order and appears to be rebuilt at one time. The spare fender goes with it and so does a spare front bumper. There are lots of spare parts in the trunk also. Spare tail lights, window assemblies, vent windows, I don't really know what else. I never went through it all. Overall it is a pretty decent car and a great candidate for restoration or SD clone. It's a solid car but does have the usual small rust spots. I'm looking for $2500, negotiable, maybe open to trades, maybe could do partial trades for some parts. I really need the money. I have way too many cars already. I'll look around for any spare parts laying around in my garage also. My cell number is 210 508 0805 if I don't answer leave a message. My email is starchief_59@yahoo.com. I'm on and off the computer all day every day so I can respond to emails ASAP. | |

| Hey Robert. I noticed your GP for sale and I have a friend near Milwaukee WI that collects '62s, so I sent him your ad. He may be very interested. Hope it goes well. Mark L | |

| Hey Robert. Yes. I sent him an e-mail and in his reply he said he knew you. Did he contact you? He said he is not in a position to buy anything right now. I thought about your car too but the cost is too much for me also. Add the long trip to pick it up and I had to back down. I'm hoping something local shows up. Sorry I couldn't get it sold for ya. | That's OK Mark.
Matt is a good friend of a friend of mine. The guy I bought my '62 Cat from and the guy that is building my stroker and Matt are good buds. | |
