| Was thinking along the same lines, just true gasser with the straight front axle. | |

| I'm thinkin' 450 hp 389. Enough to run high 12s. 4 speed for sure. I'm kind of thinking tri power set up just to do something different but I just love the looks of dual quads. | |

| Want something truely different? Dual Tri Power. Yep, 6 2bbl carbs! And yes edelbrock made manifolds for such a beast. There's one I know of. They want I think $650 for it (just the manifold). Or 8 1bbl carbs is another setup at the top of my list for coolness factor. | |

| If I could have anything I think I would go for the M/T cross ram. Even though I've heard they don't flow for shit.
2 carbs are hard enough to tune, 3 carbs would be worth it, but 6 or even 8 would cost way too much and be too much trouble. I always liked how those 6 carbs looked though. I'll save something like that for a hot rod truck. | |

| I finally found some time to drive up to Ennis, Texas to go get her. 500 mile round trip in exactly 12 hours. Hung out with the guy for about an hour or two in between. My dad insisted that I take his 2006 2500 4x4 4 door long bed cummins instead of my hemi. My trailer probably weighs 4000 lbs. On the trip up there we got 18.1 mpg. On the way back with the 4000 lb car we got 16.4 mpg. I thought that was incredible. 100% stock Cummins with 35" tires. Better gas mileage than my hemi gets and his truck weighs probably 8000 lbs while towing 8000 lbs. INSANE! Anyway, here she is. I got the correct dog dish caps for it, I'm waiting on the clips for the wheels. It's a POS but it'll be a cool project. I think I'm gunna get the motor done first and put that bitch back in there in case i need to move it around the property it won't be such a bitch. And once a car runs you have more inspiration to work on it to get it driving. My plans for the motor are 4.25" stroke crank making it somewhere in the 44X cubes range. Get the heads redone and ported, M22 rock crusher behind that, probably a 3:64 rear with those old school Ansen lockers. I think cheater slicks would look cool too. I'm shootin for 12s in the 1/4. Around 450 hp maybe 4000 lbs. | |
