Picked up a Enduro Empty
PostSubject: Picked up a Enduro   Picked up a Enduro EmptyMon Sep 08, 2008 4:02 pm

Bought a 1975 Yamaha DT 175 Enduro this weekend for $100 as a winter project. To make it even better, I won $100 on pull tabs the same night so I basically got it for free!

If anyone has parts let me know, I need some things like lights, side covers, etc.

Here's a pic of one. It's not mine but mine looks exactly like this. An Enduro is basically a street legal dirt bike.

last time i was on an enduro the clutch was a little sticky and i did a catwalk towards a car in a parking lot!! Brought the bike down on top of me and the only thing i broke was the back light. Im trying to get finished a 76 cimati (italian) moped for the wife. Im also putting one of those mini bike (pocket bikes they might be called) engines on a beach cruiser style bike.

This is supposed to be a winter project.... After work last night I decided to start on the bike just to get things rolling and within an hour and a half I got the entire bike stripped down to nothing but the wheels and handle bars.

Oh well, guess I'll paint it too and make it look all shiny perty.

its funny how easy they come apart isnt it?? My wife says my problem is i get 98% done and then lose interest. Our kitchen has needed the same 8 tiles and two cuboard doors made for a year now! At least the car is close to done for the time being and i know i wont lose interest in that!!
