Fenders On!

The fenders are on but not aligned yet. The inner fenders are not on yet but I painted them today.

Looking good!!!! Starting to finally come together and look like a '59 again!

BTW, get yourself that gold Pontiac emblem for the grill. Crazy old guys for some reason think they're Italian cars until they see it... (True story)

This year at BTT50s 2 old guys were staring at my car trying to figure out what it was. I was amused so I just listened. One of them perks up and yells "I got it!!! That thing's Italian!"

I got a good laugh out of it. Never corrected them either.

That's making me sick. ITALIAN? WTF? Nobody but the USA would make a dinosaur like car like ours.

It was so wrong that I couldn't say anything cause I would have busted out laughing. There's an arrowhead and "Pontiac" on the front and "Pontiac" on the back and they still didn't get it. Oh well, I guess it didn't bother me so much cause I'm Italian too.

Here's a good one. Biff Buzby's Burgers in San Antonio has a cruise night every friday night. One of my friends shows up with his 69 Z28 all original he bought it in 1971 when he was 19. Paid $2,000 for it at the time. One identical to his shows up. We go over there and start talkin to him and he stops my friend mid sentence and said "I don't know shit about cars...I can't even change the oil." HAHAHA Just some rich guy that could afford a 60K car but didn't know shit about cars. SAD

Actually.... No Mustangs allowed in that show. All cars 1964 and older but no 1964 1/2 so they don't allow in Mustangs. They even have a big bold comment stating "No Mustangs" on the registration form.

Sounds like my kind of show. That also rules out Camaros. Must be nice...haha
