Doing a complete rewire on a 59 Catalina. Using an EZ wire harness, the origional was bad, bad, bad.
I have 2 questions regarding the fuel gauge.
1) Which terminal is for hot and which is for the sender?
2) Is it supposed to have full battery voltage or, is it supposed to less than 12 volts?
I spaced and forgot to see which sonnector went to which side of the gauge when removing the dead harness. I do know the gauge was fed from the ignition switch and the connector was kind of melty as if it had high resistance. That made me think it may have been a resistor wire.
