Well I finally got around to putting some wide white walls on the old girl. Still trying to get used to the new (old) look.

Bob, the new tires look fantastic! I always tell other collectors that the easiest way to improve the appearance of their vintage vehicles is to install correct-appearing tires.
Would love to see more photos of your beautiful '59.

Thanks guys for the kind words. It didn't always look this way...been a labor of love as the saying goes. It pales in comparison to a lot of the fine rides that I've seen on this site (and elsewhere.) I still consider my 59 to be a "Ten Footer"... as in it looks really really good if you're 10 feet or further away from it! But hey, it suits me.

You're being way too modest. That's a beauty!
Back when I used to run with the Street Machines club in Rochester NY we used to have a similar term for boulevard cruisers. We'd say they look great if you have 20/20 vision. Which meant you saw the car pass you 20 feet away at 20 mph. My cars have all been the 20/20 type. I love going to car shows to see these pristine beauties that get trailered in but personally I see more value in a car that gets driven on a regular basis. The thrill you get cruising down the highway as some guy passing you gives you the thumbs up... gotta love it!
