A bot is an automated process, usually created by search engines like Yahoo or Google, that go through a web site and catalog everything on that site. That way when someone goes to Google and searches for something related to 59 pontiacs this site will show up somewhere in the search results.
Yeah... I'm a computer geek in real life who grew up around cars and heavy machinery so I know my way around an automotive shop too. Even worked a few years in a speed shop way back. :-)
