Summer cruisin' Empty
PostSubject: Summer cruisin'   Summer cruisin' EmptyMon Aug 13, 2012 1:07 pm

Wondering if everyones able to put a few miles on their pontiacs this summer?
This has been my first full summer owning my wagon and Ive been trying to drive it as much as possible. Even in the 100 degree weather we get theres been no overheating issues, just windows down, the glasspacks blaring away and usually frequent trips to the ice cream store. I'm an avid cyclist and as such decided to install a 1.25" hitch receiver so I could load my bikes (I wouldnt dare load them up on my rechromed roof rack). We actually put a hinge on the license plate and cut an access hole in the bumper under the plate so its truly hidden. If I knew how to load pictures I'd post them. As far as car shows go, Ive had it in one this year only because they opened the gate and shuttled me in when I was only looking for a parking spot! Its funny how often Ive heard from people either "what year is that?" or "you dont see many of those around"- which seems to be true, even more so an American pontiac in Canada.
As far as the rest of the summer goes, one final trip I would like to make would be the Langley cruise in in Langley, B.C. this september-its a 5 hour drive for me through the mountains which makes me a little nervous but if the car continues to run as trouble free as it has I think it will have to be a go.
Anyway, I will try to figure out the picture thing and get a few up this next week. Cheers to all!

I just returned from a weekend meet/cruise. It was friday > sunday, and included live music and a 2 hour cruising. It was about 125 miles each way, and pulling the trailer, and there was no car trouble what so ever. My confidence is building, since this was the first longer trailer haul since my great engine rebuild.

A 59' starchief was for sale - i know it, since it has been sitting for sale almost since i bought mine, and it is the same seller. It has only 50 K miles, and powersteering/powerbrakes. It look extremely untouched, but interior needs a hand. Wish i had some money Smile . I think it is the only other 59 pontiac in Denmark, so it would be nice to have them both Laughing .
