Replacing my carpet and need advice on removing the gas pedal? Carpet instructions say you "lift it off sideways", but after pulling on it a little, it didm't seem to budge. Thanks, Jim

In the floor pan there are 2 ball studs that the pedal just pops on to. Grab the top of the pedal and pull it towards the drivers side of the car. It will pop the pedal off the right ball stud and then just keep going and it'll pop off the other stud
