Power Brakes - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Power Brakes   Power Brakes - Page 2 EmptyWed Oct 23, 2013 7:12 am

Thanks John! I never considered the possibility of a vacuum leak actually sucking the brake fluid into the booster.

It sounds like sending my booster and master out to be repaired is the cheaper route. I'll give them a ring and compare prices.

For anyone else in a similar situation the prices on the ebay listing I mentioned go like this:
Rebuilt master and booster: $650
Shipping to me: $30
My estimated cost to ship my old core back to them: $20
Core refund: $250
Final total cost $450

Guess I should have tried this before bugging you guys... a google search pulled up Midwest's web site pretty easily.

They have a toll free number now:  877-966-0550

And here's their web site.

http://www.midwestbooster.com/index.html

I did notice they have a picture of the gold mounting brakets for the 59's on their "products" page.  Scroll way down towards the bottom to find them.
