I think I've managed this photobucket upload now, but perhaps I shouldn't have resized them as they don't look to be that focused. Still, here she is. These were taken this last weekend on a drive out in the Normandy countryside.
I'd like to say that I've managed to free the exhaust flapper and tied it open. There's definitely some improvement, but she does seem to have carb problems. The drivers side is pretty rich and the other side a bit lean. She does struggle sometimes uphill from a slow speed and definitely feels like the carb. Anyone know some simple carb tune tips?

Great pics !. I love it - almost exactly like mine, exept for the colour & hupcaps... I guess that american cars are pretty rare in France - i have never seen one on my vacations anyway...

You could try the quick & dirty carb. clean :

Remove aircleaner & start engine.

Rev. the engine (not too much), and place the hand over the carb.

Vacuum should now pull the dirt out of the carb.

Remove the hand just before the engine stalls, and repeat as nessesary.

Is the trans down shifting to make more power up the hills etc? If the trans is staying in the higher gears it will feel like it's low on power at those times. Just a thought.
Otherwise great looking car. Have noticed any semi trucks pulling farther to the right as you meet them on the highways yet? They probably don't want to mess with that big old monster coming at them!! Enjoy that car, you'll love it. Mark L

Stunning fiftyniner - congratulations! I bet it raises a few eyebrows in France. Maybe a few bottom lips too.

Your car has a powerful looking stance. Do you have custom suspension? What size wheels and tires are you running?
