I poked around the forums; what a great site. I hope you dont mind that I post my first here in the classifieds.
Got a 1 year only, Original Unmolested 1959 Pontiac Starchief, 2-door Post. 389 V8 and Hydromatic. Power brakes, Power steering car. If your looking for a boat with a long & large trunk area/decklid...this is it at a whopping 18' 3" long bumper to bumper.
Here are the details:
Bumpers are in good condition and will polish up nicely for a driver.
This car has been stored indoors for the past 10 years.
The front floors had rust holes but have been repaired with a rust inhibitor paint applied on clean bare metal.
It's a very solid car and complete with ALL the trim.
Motor turns over and fires. Has a brand new starter and solenoid, 2bbl carburator w/ rebuild kit installed, Distributor with new points, condenser, cap and rotor. The motor and transmission has very clean oil. I popped the valve covers and its got a thin film of sludge on it, but nothing to worry about. Original repainted black 2bbl air cleaner. New 61" belt for Power Steering, Power steering pump does not leak, lines look okay, but could use a replacement. New upper and lower radiator hoses, new power steering belt, new plugs, checked out the radiator - its a good solid, non-leaking unit.
Suspension is in great condition, nothing stuck, car rolls great. Goes through the gears nicely. I may drop the pan, change the gasket on the tranmission and inspect. Oil is very clean.
I have inspect the brakes and repaired them. The original Power brake booster has been removed (by me) and a custom new brake booster with dual output master cylinder installed. (68 Chevelle Unit) Ill connect new lines to existing brake lines for the dual output.
I have gone through the brakes, the wheel cylinders were shot, all have been removed and sent in to be rebuilt. Brakes now are in new condition with new seals and rubber. Brake pads are all replaced, original hardware is being re-used since its in great condition. Front backing plates have been removed and sandblasted and painted black. Rear plates cannot be removed without pulling the axles so I wired wheeled them clean and sprayed the inside black.
New rubber flex lines for the front brakes, and a new rubber line for the transition between the frame and rear end for rear brakes.
A new 3-way brass brake line connector attached to frame and new hard lines installed to new power master cylinder.
The emergency brake had a few issues, but that is now corrected as well. All associated parts removed have been sandblasted, re-painted and lubed so the e-cable can move effortlessly.
The front drums are in great shape, nice and smooth on the inside. Currently, there are no rear drums (heh, apparently they were never put back on in the past ) If its a deal breaker for the car, then I suppose its not a car for you. I have checked, new drums are approx $80 - $100 a piece. I'm currently looking for a good used pair or possibly may pick up a new set; no guarantee though.
I have scraped the front A-Arms to get all of the old caked on gook off of it to be somewhat presentable and have access to grease fittings
Interior has seen better days. Front seat is a mexican blanket away, backseat bottom has upholstery, but seat back is a bare spring.
I also have lots of extra hard to find parts that could go with the car for
extra cash offer;
not with the car's original price.

There are 2 dings in the body, one at the drivers side headlight (slight and an easy fix) and one at the passenger side rear quarter. Slight rust in trunk and rust in the package tray.
Good windshield and Good rear back window.
I have started to strip the car of its trim to inspect everything and was going to start doing some body work on the car. There are 3 dents. Lower driver door, front driver fender and passenger quarter. For extra $$$, I can fix these sections and primer the whole car. Floors are now repaired in front and rear parts, new patches welded in, trunk floor repair is next
