After 40 years rest she came alive today. After having replaced a stuck starter solenoid, she roared back to life and sounded smooth as silk...unbelievable! Little bit of leak on the carb so out for immediate rebuild tomorrow when the rebuild kit comes in. Now that i know she's got a healthy motor it's time to redo the engine compartment and replace everything of plugs/wires/belts/hoses/fluids/thermostat/fuel and air filter/oil change etc then some fresh paint to finish her up. First however will be new freeze plugs as I have one or two leaking. Really exciting stuff so I'm pretty psyched!
