PostSubject: Rewrote a song for the board.   Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:30 pm

Hey guys. I rewrote another song. But for the board. Its Queens Fat Bottom Girls. See if you like it.

Fat bottom girls QUEEN

Fat Bonnevilles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMnjF1O4eH0

Arrrrre--- you gunna to drive me home tonight?
Parrrrrrk--- next to our fav-o-rite street light
Arrrrrre--- you going to let it all hang out ?
Fat Bonnevilles
You make the cruising world go round

I was just a skinny lad
Never knew good cars from bad
But my DAD told me to drive fat Pontiacs
So I bought a big bad Bonnie
She is oh so fat not scrawnny
Heap big Bonnie-- you made a fat boy out a me
Hey hey!
Wooh

I've been cruising in my Bonnie
Cruised the city cruised the levy
I seen many hopped up hoopties on the way, hey
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of stale after a while
Take me to them ol' fat Bonnies everytime.

C'mon
Ohhhhh- lets hear your engine purr tonight
Ohhhhh--show them all your bright taillights
Ohhh--and you give it all you got
Fat Bonnevilles you make the cruising world go round
Fat Bonnevilles you make the cruising world go round

Hey Listen here
Now I got mortgages on homes
I got stiffness in the bones
Ain't no beautiy queens in this locality (I tell you)
Oh but I still get my pleasure
Still got my greatest treasure
Big fat Bonnie you done made a fat man o' me

Now get this
Ohhh--lets hear your engine purr tonight
Ohhhhh--show them all your bright taillights
Arrrrrre--- you going to let it all hang out ?
Fat Bonnevilles you make the cruising world go round yeah
Fat Bonnevilles you make the cruising world go round

Get in your cars and ride
Ooh yeah oh yeah them fat Bonnevilles
Fat bonnevilles
Yeah yeah yeah
Alright cruise 'em, c'mon
Fat Bonnevilles-yes yes

Hope it's OK. Sure wished I could sing, it would have much more impact, heh. Mark Lr

Playing around again with songs. Just have to go somewhere with these so I thought I'd drop 'em off here. Let me know if you don't want to see these?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y8b8URh21k

John Fogerty

Who'll stop the Rain

Who'll stop the king

Long as I remember, his car has been around
Lots of stories tellin', his car has earned the crown
Good men thru the ages, tried to shut him down
And I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the king

I was trollin' main street, seeking someone to put down
Saw him as he passed by, I watched him turn around
Saw him in my mirror, heard his headers sing
And I wonder, still I wonder, can I stop the king

People will be tellin', how I scratched and clawed
My car had him worried, trying to keep up
Still he kept on pullin', screamin' thru the gears
And I wonder, Still I wonder, who'll stop the King.

Just had to add this one. Always loved the original song.

Top Gun

http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=yfp-t-701-s&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF8&rd=r2&p=top%20gun%20videos

Revin' on the two step
Listen to that turbo roar
Finger on the trans-brake
Beggin' you to let 'er go
Now you're in the turbo zone

Right into the turbo zone

Comin' off the transbrake
Feeling all that torque explode
Your Front end jumpin' off the track
And pullin' hard against the road

Now you're in the turbo zone
It'll take you
Right into the turbo zone

You'll never know what she will do unless you push her to the red line on the boost

You never know what she can do Until you twist her up as far as she will go

I can hear her singing
It's right where she wants to be
The higher on the boost
The higher the ET will be

Now you're in the turbo zone
Gunna take you
Right into the turbo zone

Now you're in the turbo zone

Right into the turbo zone

Now you're in the turbo zone
Gonna take you
Right into the turbo zone

Now you're in the turbo zone

Right into the turbo zone

Now you're in the turbo zone
Gonna take you
Right into the turbo zone

Right into the turbo zone

Right into the turbo zone

Had an actual request over on PY.

Cherokee Nation by Paul revere

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsMQbedCZj0&feature=player_embedded

Pontiac Nation

They took our whole Pontiac Nation
Over and done was our designation
Claimed our cars had no more life
Cut out our hearts with a golden knife

They took away our Bonneville
Said it was mis-sing all its thrill

And mak ing new cars will not last
Can only live now in the past

Pontiac nation
Pontiac tribe
So proud to live
To proud to die

They said the Tin Indian Nation
Is not worth their preservation
Although we swear this isn't right
They still won't listen to our plight

Pontiac Nation
Pontiac Tribe
So proud to live
To proud to die

But maybe some day when they've learned
Pontiac Nation will return
Will return will return
Will return will return

Wrote a kind of dark one.

Phil Collins In the air tonight

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=manxPVTLth8&feature=player_embedded

I could see you comin' down the street tonight, oh lord
Well I've been waiting just to meet you all my life, oh lord
Can you fell it, hate is in the air tonight, oh lord, oh lord

And when they told me you would be here, I put my gun in hand
I've seen your face before my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am
I was there and I saw what you did, saw it with my own two eyes
I saw you kill my two sons, their lives just begun
We all saw the way they died

And I can feel it, dying's in the air tonight, oh lord
Well I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh lord
You will feel my hating in the air tonight, oh lord
I've been waiting just to kill you, all my life, oh lord, oh lord

Well I remember, I remember-don't worry, how could I ever forget
It's the first time, and the last time we'll ever meet
But I know the reason why you keep on showing up, no you don't fool me
Well your pride always shows, as my pain still grows
Death's no stranger to you and me

You will feel me sending you to hell tonight, oh lord
I've been waitng for this moment to take your life, Oh lord
You will feel me sending you to hell tonight, oh lord
I've been waitng for this moment to take your life, Oh lord
Feel me sending you to hell tonight, oh lord
I've been waitng for this moment to take your life, Oh lord
Feel me sending you to hell
Feel me sending you to hell
Well I've been waitng for this moment all my life, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu,hu
hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu, hu,
Been waiting for this moment, all my life, My life,

That's awesome

I'm working on "Pontiac in 1960" off of "Texas in 1880" by Radney Foster

Be young and wild and free
Just like Pontiac in 1960

Here's the old version

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEBgRF1hkDA

I can hear the wind whisper my name
Tellin’ me it’s time to head out again
My horses are trailered and the lights are shutdown
I’m long overdue for headin’ outta town
Gotta fever that they call the rodeo
Just enough winnings to make the next show
Sometimes you make eight sometimes you hit dirt
Go on pin another number to the back of my shirt…

(chorus)

And I’ll ride that pony fast
Like a cowboy from the past
Be young and wild and free
Like Texas in 1880
Just like Texas in 1880

Awe, from Phoenix to Tulsa to the Astro Dome
From New York City down to San Antone
There’s boys that are ridin’ for legendary fame
And our money’s all gone but we still ride the same
Our hearts are getting’ broken
And our heads are getting’ busted
We’ll always believe in the things that we trusted
They’ll be those nights when glory comes round
And we’ll tip our hats and wave to the crowd…

Someday when you’re older someone’ll see
That buckle hangin’ there on your belt
Askin’ just how it felt…

Radney Foster is a great songwriter who has had a few hits over the years. He plays at my work once or twice a year. He also wrote "Nobody Wins" which was a hit in the ealy 90s and also did "Just call me lonesome" which I don't ever remember hearing until a few years ago but it was also a hit in the early 90s. He also did "I'm In" which I don't know how big it was but it's a great song also

I'll try my hand at the song. Meantime I took a swipe at Wal-mart.

(Thunderstruck by AC/DC)
Wal-Mart Struck

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvoeeq-BH4w

(Wal-mart X10)

Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
Wal-mart
I woke up
In the middle of a Wal-mart rack---(Wal-mart)
I looked around
And I knew there was no turning back---(Wal-mart)
My mind screamed
And I thought, what did I do---(Wal-mart)
And I knew
There was no help, my days were through---(Wal-mart)
Sound of the carts
Clicking in my heart
The Wal-mart price guns
Popping out tags

I've been, Wal-mart struck!

Ran down the aisleway
Broke the rules and , then hit the john
Ran out the exits, yeah exits
Yeah we had some fun
We met some girls,
Some cashiers who gave a good time.
BrokeWal-mart rules, kissed in the tools
Yeah, yeah, we, we, we blew their minds
And all the bosses were not pleased
Can we get fired please
Yeah the bosses were unkind
We were--Wal-mart struck, Wal-mart sucks
Yeah yeah yeah, Wal-mart struck
Oh, Wal-mart sucks,

Yeah

All the bosses were not pleased
Can we get fired please .

Ya wa wa wa wa wa
Ya wa wa wa wa wa
Ya wa wa wa wa wa
Ya wa wa wa wa wa

Wal-mart sucks
Wal-mart sucks
Yeah yeah yeah Wal-mart struck
Wal-mart sucks
Yeah yeah yeah say yeah
It's alright
We're doing fine
Yeah it's alright
We're doing fine fine fine fine
Wal-mart sucks
Yeah yeah yeah Wal-mart sucks
I lost my job
Wal-mart sucks
Yowwww baby baby baby
Wal-mart struck
I mean
Wal-mart sucks
Wal-mart sucks
Wal-mart struck
Wal-mart sucks
I mean Wal-mart sucks

Got another one. Robert, still looking a the one you asked about. Just gotta hit the right time.

Wild nights Van Morrison

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUXsegbuJg0&feature=related

As you start your cruise
Set the rear-view mirror
And you comb your hair
Sittin' in the car
And you hit the streets
Trying to remember
All the wild street crusin'
In your mem'ry ever

And when your cruising in the heat
When your rollin', out on the street
And the motor's sound-ing so sweet
Sends you flying, flying

Ooo-woo-wee!
Wild streets are calling.
Ooo-woo-wee!
Wild streets are calling

All the cars roll by
Checking out each other
And the girls, do the boogie woogie
On the corner of the street

And the people, cruisin' by
Just stare in wild wonder
And the music blastin'
Rolls out just like thunder

And when your cruising in the heat
When your rollin' out on the street
And the motor's sound-ing so sweet
Sends you flying, flying

Woo-woo-wee!
Wild streets are calling

Ooo-ooo-wee!
Wild streets are calling

The wild street is calling
The wild street is calling
Come on out and cruise
Come on out you can't refuse

Come on out and cruise
Come on out, you can't refuse

(Instrumental & horn solo)

The wild street is calling
The wild street is calling

Come on out and cruise
Come on out you can't refuse

Come on out and cruise
Come on out you can't refuse

What about Racing in the Streets by Springsteen? That's a good one

Just did this one. It's a dark Ozzie.

Gets me through Ozzie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QejvO7ugSO4&feature=player_embedded

Evil Catalina

I'm not the awfull person, you think I am
My car's the evil bastard, I'm just a man
I have a Pontiac I, just can't control
I feel it's become evil, and has no soul
I've no control

It wants to run right by you, you know it can
It has a mind of it's own, it has a plan
And it will love the feeling, of beating you
I hope you understand that, I love it too, yeah
I love it too. yeah

Theres nothing that I hide behind
My evil CAt can be unkind
The nightmare it will drop on you
I feel your ra----cing days are through

(commentator)
It's been confirmed that this Pontiac is not the anti-christ
We reached the devil at his home in Las Vegas
When asked for a comment, Satan said
No, it's not my car, but I love the way it runs

I'm not the awfull person, you think I am
My car's the evil bastard, I'm just a man
But I still love the feeling, of beating you
I know my Catalina, would tell you too

I'm just dying to race yeah
I'm just dying to race yeah
I'm just dying to race yeah
I'm just dying to race yeah

Hey Robert. Looked at Bruces Racing in the streets. It's already a car song so I could never do it justice. Thanks for asking about it though. I'm looking for my next one. Still looking at the one you asked about but not getting a feeling for it. Mark L

I did it again.
Supertramp, Take the Long Way Home

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yz5dP4m9tY&feature=player_embedded

Made the wrong choice Homes

You were drunk, knew you had ta go
Forgot your keys and were feelin' low
Made the wrong choice Homes
Made the wrong choice Homes

Lost your way thru the neighborhood
Lost your lunch you weren't feelin' good
Made the wrong choice Homes
Made the wrong choice Homes

There were times when you feel your guts were so firey
All that food you ate, was coming up, boy
Then your wife saw you start to puke on the furniture
Oh, it's hard for her, she used to be so nice.

Lonely drinks turn to lonely nights
Lies and screaming dosen't make it right
You made the wrong choice Homes
Made the wrong choice Homes

You'll never be what you want to be
Forever sleeping in the alley way
You made the wrong choice Homes
Made the wrong choice Homes

And when you scream in your rage, it's so unbelievable
unforgivable, how they abhore you
Now your mind starts to think you're losing your sanity
Oh, insanity, is there no way out

Did it feel that your life became a catastrophe?
Oh, it has to be you hit your low, boy .
When you look through the years and see what you could have been,
Oh, what you should have been
If you'd had more brains.

So, when that day came to settle down,
Who's to blame that you weren't around
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes
You made the wrong choice Homes

Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Homes
Wrong way Hommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmes
