We leave friday evening, and the destination is Woblitzsee - formerly in the DDR, and most likely never before visited by a 59 pontiac. I'm pretty exited to see how much attention a car like this is going to get there, and how well it is going to perform on a longer trip. Since i'll be pulling the caravan iv'e added a extra oilcooler for the tranny - just to be sure... I'll be back, ... It was OK, nothing from the '50s, nothing from the 40s, 1 1939 and a bunch of GTOS, Firebirds, a few Trans Ams, 2 1970 Judges. Lots of Tri powers and 4 speeds. My father-in-law found them in the trunk of his parts car and gave them to me for FREE!!!!! With the color they look great in the car I think too.

My parents have inherited a 1959 catalina and are wanting to restore it. If any of you have ANY advise please let me know. What I know about it is that it was my great great grandpas and one way or another dad says we are restoring it. It was sadly left in a pasture and for some reason a door left open. So as you can imagine rust and cracked windows. We do know it will be a frame up reconstruction. But parts and everything else how hard is it going to b to find all of this?? ...
