Well guys. I found this for my gasser build. I wanted to do the '59 or '60 Catalina but this popped up and for the money it really fits the build. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvoeeq-BH4w This is really solid and the owner really wanted to get it out of his yard so he offered it to me for $1600, I couldn't pass it up. I just wanted to thank you all for welcoming me into the fold here, and I will be dropping in once in a while to see what's happening. I'm still going to be on the ...

This is my first post. I've been waiting until I cleaned up "Ruthie" before composing my story and linking pictures. I inhereted the car after my Aunt Ruth past away earlier in the year. I'd always admired the car and shared her interest in maintaining our rides, so she willed it to me. My aunt was the original owner and she kept detailed records over the car's 50 years. Ruthie has 104,000 miles and the engine, transmission, and drive have never been touched. The car has zero ...

Just thought I would share my newest ride with you all.

This is my brother's 1962 Corvette that, due to his tragic death just over a year ago, I have purchased from his widow and returned to Maine. My brother Peter loved this car and would never have sold it, so I purchased it so that it would stay in the family. His widow really wanted me to have it as he and I were close and both car guys. He and I often spoke of restoring the car to it's glory days so that is what I intend to do. The car ...

Earlier this year, I won a plethora of 59/60 Pontiac Technical Service Bulletins that were issued to dealers only during this time period. I spent a couple of hours scanning and thought I'd share this with my fellow 59ers

Some of the scans are not centered as both the scanner and info put up a fight. If there are any pages that are totally unreadable, let me know and I'll try rescanning them.

I posted them on my photobucket account, however, if there's a way to post a PDF file here, ...

Did anyone see the white 59 Pontiac wagon for sale last week on e-bay? The body was pretty good (only some surface rust) but the motor was locked up, left rear passenger floor board rusted out, no keys to vehicle, no title, windshield busted, right front side window busted, and the interior needed much help. The wagon had been sitting for about 20 years so I'm sure the fuel and brake system are wasted as well. The starting bid was $999.00 and I bid $1009.00 but it didn't meet the reserve.
What a small world we sometimes live in.

My buddy Herbie and I went to our first Cruise Night last Wednesday night at a local Big Dipper Ice Cream. Driving in to the lot some guy walked right out in front of me and I had to stop to keep from hitting him. He was back to me watching Herbies 1962 Galaxie drive by. I stopped and blew the horn at him. He turned to me, then walked over to my drivers window and leaned in and said "I used to own this car"! I said, "your kidding me right"? ...

Doesn't seem like there were as many really fast cars as the last one. I did see a hyabusa do 251 MPH and I was parked right at the end of the mile. It was insane! I think the only Pontiac was a new GTO. I think it did about 140. I saw a brand new F150 do 121. I think the fastest car I saw was a supra that did like 223 or something. I saw some vipers and vettes do close to that and there were some really fast porsches. I saw a WRX miss a shift and then saw some parts fall out from underneath. ...

Unbelievably, the odometer showed less than 20,000 miles! The owner says that it was actual mileage. The car appeared to still have original paint and interior. Very, very clean.

Told him about this website... hopefully he'll join.

Last month the local POCI club had a Buick Olds Pontiac Show. Some very nice rides.. turn-out was a little light though. My 59 won First in my class... didn't get too excited though... there were only 3 in my class! Haha

They had a lot of classes, GTOs, modified, semi-modified, mid size, etc.

Here are some links (hopefully.)

A few weeks ago I went to a popular cruise-in that is about 45 minutes from where I live. There were about 100-120 vehicles of all types and condition, but most in very fine shape. Much to my surprise my 59 was selected as "Pick of the Week". I think mine was picked mainly because I was some new "blood' . I say that because there were SCORES of much finer vehicles there so I didn't let it go to my head. Have to admit though it was nice to get some special recognition among ...

Im new here but been into Pontiacs since 1970. I have a list in the other section under whats in your garage. I've worked in a major candy company factory since 1970. Just retired 2007. Lived in Wisconsin (just outside Milwaukee) until our recent move to sunny, sunny Glendale (sub of Phoenix) AZ. NOT missing the winter they are experiencing back there. I've built several different cars but I keep falling back to a Pontiac. They are under my skin and I can't shake 'um. My present fun project ...

I saw this 60 at a recent car show here. Except for the usual showing of GTOs, out of about 1000 entries there were very few "big" Pontiacs. I thought it might be of interest to some of you. It caught my eye.

PS Some time ago Wydtrac was kind enough to provide me with step by step instructions on how to post images but I must be a complete dunce because I still can't do it. I can't get the window to appear that allows me to select a "copy" that Wydtrac described. ...

Turn Signal Switch

I am having electrical problems with the brake and back up lights and the mechanic thinks it is in the turn signal switch. He said he has called everywhere looking for a replacement and has run out of sources. Does anyone have any ideas where to get this replacement or if they think this is even the problem. The ames catalog didn't even carry it. Thanks for any type of help.
